Hurricane Florence: American Red Lion Presents $3,000 to Animal Charities. September 2018.

Updated: Dec 2, 2018

American Red Lion's Janelle Babington and Sabrina Dively were thrilled to present $3,000.00 yesterday to charities for their rescue efforts during Hurricane Florence at the annual Pawz in Park event held in Wilmington, NC.

Janelle Babington | Pawz In The Park

We researched, identified and provided food for 6 different organizations from several counties who were working tirelessly to rescue animals from Hurricane Florence. And although today was a lot of fun, the problems are very real. After talking with Cape Fear Parrot Sanctuary, I'm learned about what's left in their bank account totaling $40.00 as well as what their needs might be for their animals during a disaster. A box truck is one of these needs. They had to fill their vehicles and evacuate with 40 parrots in cages.  Fresh Start Rescue lost everything and the founders are currently living in a camper in their driveway. But still, every day they continue to rise and care for their rescue animals on their farm until they can find a way to rebuild.

We want to thank all the Hurricane Florence Animal Charities for their efforts!
